4x5 Peelapart Instant Film and other Large Format Photographic topics.
Hi Bob,Congrats! I'm a big fan rooting from the sidelines. I would love to be more than a cheerleader, though. If, at some time in the future you need to produce your own film to stay viable, I can perhaps help you with that. I would be delighted. (No charge: it's the Light Farm mission.)Warmest regards,d ross
Let me know if I can help!@andyreaser
Oh yes please go on!Old 55 was my favourite instant film. Now my 4x5 waits for new instant sheet film.
I'm glad to see you back at it. Bringing back this type of film would be a great thing for the photographic community.
Someone recently gave me a few sheets of Polaroid 55, only two of which were any good, but it's gorgeous stuff. I've mainly been using Polaroid 664 (now very inconsistent even when kept refrigerated) and the recently discontinued Fuji FP 3000B (both 3.25 x 4.25). Over the last six months or so, I've made a point of shooting at least a few instant shots with my 4x5 during every portrait shoot, and my clients (both private and magazine editorial) love the look. I'm consequently aching to have a good instant black and white film on the market, so I'm pulling for the New55 project in a big way. I will be a steady customer once you go into production.
